Compared to the last sale, steers and heifers traded with a lower
undertone. In the three weeks since the last auction, the feeder market
has come under pressure, pushed lower due to volatility at the CME and
lower fat cattle trade. The local cash feeder market responded accordingly
as buyers are working in tighter margins by the day. Supply heavy and
demand moderate. Feeder cattle supply included 43 percent Steers, 55
percent Heifers, and 1 percent Bulls. Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs
 was 104 percent.
